Jack should model
Look at this picture. It’s an advertisement for a crib from Burlington Coat Factory. I’m sorry, but this baby is Ugly.
Where do they find these kids?
I guarantee that Jack would sell triple the cribs as this ugly baby.
Should we get him involved in child modeling? Maybe he’d start […]
I wish Jack was successful in his attempt to hide in my suitcase. I miss the little guy!

One of the hardest parts about being a father, at least so far, is realizing that I am now a role model. An extremely impressionable human being is going to watch my every move for the next 25 years, and it will affect his entire world view. Eventually, he’ll realize that his father is […]
This was a few weeks ago. Gotta teach the boy somehow.
New people just moved into the apartment directly above ours. Last night, we heard all kinds of banging, like they were installing shelves or putting up hundreds of picture frames.
Tonight, Greta and I were curled up in the front of the TV, enjoying an episode of Lost and eating chocolate ice cream. […]
I just received this email from Greta:
did you get my message? Jack truly rolled over today!!! From his back to his tummy, which is the hard way (tummy to back is easier).
“Your baby may be able to kick himself over, from his tummy to his back, as early as age 2 to 3 months. […]
Nick & Leena came over on Saturday afternoon. Nick did his best to corrupt little Jack, and as a result, he won’t be allowed to see Jack again until he’s 21.
I shared two more albums online at Picasa:
Jack’s First Christmas
Jack in January_videos
I finally got around to posting more pictures of Jack. He’s growing and getting cuter and cuter every day. Here’s my favorite shot: Jack helping his Dad blog.
Check out the album here:
Jack In January
I just uploaded a sickening number of pictures of Jack’s first bath.
Honestly, unless you’re a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or child modeling agency, you probably won’t want to click through to see these 52 pictures and 10 videos.

This time I ‘woke up’ in a bathroom stall, drunk, only to realize that I had somehow left Jack sleeping in the car, outside on the street, where there was a police officer waiting to ask me a few questions.
I woke up for real just as I got to the part where I had to […]
I think this dream was lifted straight from an episode of Desperate Housewives….
Someone tried to steal our babies. Yes, that’s right: plural. Which is about all the displacement this dream offered. For some reason, we had adopted newborn twins. Everything else (that I remember) was true to life.
We were hanging out in our apartment, […]

Here’s a new video we recorded yesterday. If you watch this in a quiet room and turn up the volume, you can hear some of the baby noises that Jack makes.

Last night around 3 am, Jack started crying. One minute he was sleeping in the Bugaboo next to our bed, and the next minute he was screaming his head off.
We’ve never heard this particular cry before. Between screams, there was a gurgling sound, as if Jack was underwater or something.
Greta was the first to […]
Please note that the sound of the baby crying is NOT Jack. We were watching a video about soothing a baby.

Finally, some pics of little Jack. Sorry for the delay….but we’ve been a little busy.
Greta and I are struggling with the decision of whether to get Jack involved in modeling. He’s been approached by a dozen different agencies already. Thoughts?
Meet Jack Stanley Herbert
Jack Stanley Herbert was born Tuesday night at 11:27 pm. Weighing in at 8lbs 14.3oz (4036 grams), and measuring 19 inches (48.5 cm), Jack came into the world with a full head of hair and dark blue eyes. We’re keeping a wary eye on the other parents in the hospital, because it’s clear that little […]
