I am taking a course called Management Control Systems with Vijay Govindarajan. The course has 9 sessions and is worth 1.5 credits (most classes are 3 credits).
This is a picture of the textbook I was forced to purchase. His name is on the cover because he wrote the book.
This is a picture of the receipt. In case you can’t read it, it says $140.10. (I also had to purchase a course pack for $40.)
This is a picture of my professor’s car.
Any questions?
In all fairness, I have to say that today’s class was excellent. Professor Govindarajanotgonnaworkhere is entertaining and brilliant and obviously devotes time to the craft of teaching. I should be excited about the opportunity to take a course directly from the guy who wrote the book. But $140.10 for a 9-session class is OUTRAGEOUS.
I am trying desperately to get into ethics…where I can discuss things that really set my brain on fire.
